Meet Dick Driver & Become POPSTARS!!
NZ$80.00
WTF this is the oldest and coolest poster ever to turn up!
On May 29, 1988, Auckland punk band The Warners were featured on Radio with Pictures (1988 Programme 13), hosted by former musician Dick Driver. The segment included a studio interview with the band and a broadcast of their ferocious live performance of the song "Dance Dance Disco"
The WARNERS Reputation: Because of their loud sets and intense mosh pits, many bar owners were hesitant to book them. When they played Auckland's legendary venue The Gluepot, they were famously required to put up a $750 bond upfront to cover any potential crowd damages. The MOSH PITS WERE BRUTAL!! But FUN!!

DICK DRIVER: Before stepping behind the camera, Richard "Dick" Driver was a prominent frontman in the post-punk scene, singing for bands like The Doomed, Splash Alley (early Pop Mechanix), and Blam Blam Blam. He took over as the charismatic host of TVNZ's Radio with Pictures at the start of 1986, bringing an authentic underground music perspective to mainstream television
ALBINO SLUG: Led by Matthew Heine, the band later transitioned or renamed themselves into the indie/post-punk group S.P.U.D
