The Spelling Mistakes 1998

Auckland punk band formed in 1979. Members included Julian Hanson, Nick Hanson, Warwick Hitler, Nigel Russell. In 1980 they played at Gluepot, Windsor Castle, Squeeze, XS Cafe, Kicks, the New Station Hotel and Mainstreet. They played their farewell gigs at XS Cafe, the underage venue in Airedale Street, over two nights – October 31 and November 1, 1980.
